Coding Engineered Reflector for Wide-Band RCS Reduction Under Wide Angle of Incidence

This communication presents the design of 1 bit coding engineered reflector for wideband monostatic/bistatic radar cross section (RCS) reduction under a wide angle incidence by redirecting backscattered electromagnetic (EM) energies into and countless angles. The proposed surface can achieve an excellent RCS performance more than 10 dB over frequency range from 60 to 120 GHz angles up 75°. is achieved designing anisotropic polarization rotator unit cell with relative conversion bandwidth 66.7% efficiency 99%. its mirrored version are used represent “0” “1” states optimized sequence. distribution dimensions carefully, such that will have 180° ± 30° reflection phase difference between $x$ - notation="LaTeX">$y$ -axes whole three bands (V-, E-, W-bands) obtains ultrawideband wide-angle diffusion scattering patterns oblique simulation experimental results show has nearly uniform diffusive characteristics normal off-normal incidences EM waves 75° bands.
